St. John International University (SJIU) is a new American free-standing university in Vinovo-Torino (Turin), Italy. APPLICATION PROCESS FOR STUDY ABROAD STUDENTS

In order to apply to a SJIU study abroad program, candidates must provide the following for review by the Admissions Office:

1. Completed application forms. See below.

2. Official transcripts from current college or university (may be sent separately)

3. A written statement of purpose (if also required by the home institution, students may simply include a copy)

4. Two letters of recommendation.

5. Application fee of €50 (non-refundable)

6. Four passport-size photographs (1-1/2''x2'') with the student's name printed on the back. These will be used to obtain various documents once in Italy.

7. Photocopy of a valid passport

Please note: All applicants who are NOT native English speakers must also submit TOEFL exam results (or equivalent) in order to verify their language level.

ADMISSION EVALUATION

Admission evaluation will be based on several factors. SJIU seeks students who have maturity, responsibility, openness to ideas and the desire to contribute to and benefit from a university study program.

The Admissions Office will evaluate the following:

1. Official transcripts from current college or university
2. The applicant’s written statement of purpose
3. Letters of recommendation (if applicable)
4. Additional material demonstrating student qualities and achievements (such as a portfolio, resume or certificates)
5. Extracurricular activities and work experience
