STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMS

Outgoing Undergraduate Students
One of the most fundamental aspects of a complete liberal arts and sciences education is study abroad. SJIU strongly encourages its students to study abroad for a semester, year or summer at other institutions. SJIU encourages its non-American students to study for a semester or year at a partner institution in the U.S., while we hope that our American students will take advantage of our agreements with non-U.S. partner institutions to study abroad elsewhere in the world. Through its partnerships, SJIU gives students access to academic programs of excellence all over the world, including the US, China, Europe and Africa. Students planning to study abroad should talk to their Academic Advisor or the Study Abroad Office.

Incoming Undergraduate Students
SJIU also welcomes college students and recent high school graduates who wish to participate in our semester, year or summer study abroad programs. Students can come individually or as part of a program sponsored by their college. Study abroad students have access to SJIU’s full course catalog and take classes side by side with degree students. Interested students should contact an advisor or the Study Abroad office at their home university for more information on studying abroad, the transfer of credits and financial aid.

Students receiving financial aid should check with their home institution to find out if their aid is transferable to SJIU’s study abroad program.
