Minor in CAR DESIGN

Torino and car design are together the most notable automobile example worldwide. Torino is, in fact, the undeniable reference point for car design thanks to its presence in history and the presence of excellent design companies such as Giugiaro Design, FIAT, Pininfarina (the designers of Ferrari, an American and European legend), Bertone Stine and I.de.a. This permits us to have close relations with these companies.

The professional figure of the designer is very complex due to the fact that his/her knowledge must extend beyond fields directly related to car design, such as psychological and emotional factors, social classes, culture and marketing.
Aside from the project-related phases in the field of car design, this course will also cover basic ideas on the ergonometric requisites involved in the creation of automobiles and graphic representations. It will also briefly cover historical and technological aspects. Models will also be made with various materials such as polystyrene, paper, cardboard and wood.

Minor in PHOTOGRAPHY

Storytelling is one of the oldest and most respected of human endeavors. What we know of ourselves and others comes through the stories we tell. Visual storytelling, in fact, allows us to understand aspects of ourselves that cannot be conveyed through other media (e.g. love, hate, anger, desire, etc). In these courses students will be introduced to the craft, politics and philosophy of such storytelling.

Whether a student seeks to be a journalist, work in creative advertising or practice as a fine artist, a command of storytelling is fundamental to success in these areas.
