Internships
SJIU offers its students the chance to participate in internships experiences through agreements made with select organizations in Torino. Types of placement include: non-profit organizations, community out-reach groups, regional promotion of Italian culture and traditions (including the ‘made in Italy' movement and local food and wine production). This type of opportunity places students in direct contact with everyday life, helps them to learn the language and increases their sense of civic duty and responsibility. Students who choose to participate in an internship experience are require to maintain full-time enrollment status at SJIU.
SJIU organized internships aim to give students a broad and well-rounded experience; students can be asked to do a variety of tasks within the host organization. SJIU will take a student's interests and language preferences into consideration when planning internship experiences, however, SJIU does not guarantee internships based exclusively on the student's individual major/academic program (although they will likely be relevant). SJIU will confirm the availability of an internship for students upon acceptance into the program, however, details of placement will be confirmed upon arrival and interview.
Students interested in an internship meet with their academic advisor and/or send a copy of their resume to the Office of Student Affairs at studentaffairs@SJIU.it.
