Application Fee: This is due upon receipt of application and must be paid before application is processed. It is a non- refundable fee, and applications will not be processed until this fee has been paid.

Tuition Deposit: During the admission procedure a tuition deposit must be paid. This tuition deposit will be considered part of the sum necessary for admission and is part of the entire tuition fee. Upon admission to SJIU, students will receive an official letter of acceptance. The tuition deposit will be applied toward tuition fees and is 50% refundable up to the date of the final payment deadline.

Tuition Fee: the following are included in the Tuition Fee:
• Academic credits and an official transcript
• On-site cultural and academic orientation
• SJIU on-site resident staff, available to students 24 hours a day
• SJIU on-site administrative, academic and student services offices
• Cultural activities (described above)
• Transportation from the Torino (Torino Caselle “TRN”) airport.

Additional Credits/Part-time Student Fee: Students taking more than 16 credits per semester will be charged an overload fee. Students attending fewer than 12 credits per semester are part-time students and are charged on a per-credit basis.

Housing Fee: Contracts are for one semester, two semesters, or for Summer sessions. Once housing is applied for and granted, the fee-payer is liable for the full amount of the housing. In the case of withdrawal, the student is liable for the full amount of the housing fee, unless another student can be allocated in the same room. SJIU does not have the responsibility of finding the replacement person.
Standard housing is in fully-furnished apartments and shared bedrooms. 
Single rooms, when available will be charged an additional fee.
Apartments are equipped with basic utilities and cooking supplies (appliances, pots, pans, dishes, etc.).
The housing fee is based on the occupancy of the apartment and is independent of the student’s status at SJIU.  

Housing Deposit: When a student indicates on their application for admission they require SJIU housing, a housing deposit must be paid upon notice of acceptance in order for SJIU to issue the enrollment letter required by the Italian Embassies for visa purposes. The housing deposit is 50% refundable to the date of the final payment deadline and is considered part of the Housing Fee and will be applied toward the Housing Fee.

Refundable Security Deposit: The deposit is due before arrival at SJIU. The deposit will be held for the duration of the student’s attendance at SJIU and is non-transferable and non-refundable while enrolled. If deductions have been made for damage or fines not paid, the student must re-establish the deposit. Once a student leaves or graduates, s/he has six months to request the return of their refundable security deposit. If a student fails to request their refund, the deposit will be treated as a donation.
If a student officially or unofficially withdraws from SJIU, the student will forfeit their refundable security deposit.

Late registration fee: A fee of 100 Euros will be charged when students apply for housing after the housing request deadline.

Late payment: A fee of 100 Euros will be charged in the case of late payment of any fee or tuition, and a 1% monthly fee on the remaining sum with be charged for each subsequent month.

Transcript fee: A fee of 50 Euros will be charged for each additional copy of requested transcripts.
