Its educational philosophy integrates the dominant paradigms in management, sociology, ecology and cultural studies to train the business leaders of tomorrow in the necessary business skills.
Business leaders of tomorrow cannot simply follow in the footsteps of their predecessors. The next generation must seek to promote financially sound, ecologically sustainable and socially just initiatives within their organizations. Either businesses actively pursue sustainable practices and stay ahead of current trends, or they will be forced to react to social and governmental pressures to change.
During SJIU's two-year program, students work directly with executives active in the field of green business. The curriculum is structured to train students in both traditional business practices and in the latest principles of sustainability in business operations.
In addition to the course materials and the SJIU core philosophy, the international and cultural diversity of the student body and of the faculty and staff will provide a rich learning experience. All students will be offered career placement guidance and assistance.
