INTERNSHIPS

We at SJIU believe that one of the most useful aspects of University activity is to combine study with practical experience. Some of the majors may require an internship. Such internships can be carried out at local businesses and institutions according to SJIU's established agreements and partnerships. SJIU can provide a list of available companies and institutions upon request. Internships are unpaid. Students who wish to obtain credits for internship should speak to their Academic Advisor

SJIU help students select internships carefully. SJIU considers the most appropriate working situation with regard to each student's preferences and capabilities. Periodic meetings will be held with the student and the host organization to evaluate the intern's performance and the progress of the internship itself.

Students interested in an internship should meet with their Academic Advisor and/or send a letter of interest and a copy of their resume to the Office of Student Affairs at studentservices@sjiu.it.
